The centerpiece of the 5131R is its intricate enamel dial, which requires artisans to use gold threads to outline the continents before filling them with colored vitreous enamels and firing them at high temperatures. The city disc surrounding the dial allows the wearer to easily read the time in 24 different time zones simultaneously, using a pusher at 11 o'clock.
