The 36 mm Oyster case and clasp, crafted from 18 ct yellow gold, retain the iconic proportions of the Day-Date and feature the characteristic fluted bezel, one of the distinctive elements of the Rolex collection.

The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is complemented by the Cyclops lens over the date, designed to enhance readability.

As its name suggests, the Day-Date simultaneously displays the date at 3 o’clock and the day of the week written in full at 12 o’clock, a configuration that has become one of the model’s defining features since its debut in 1956.

The ref. 118138 is powered by the Rolex calibre 3155, a self-winding mechanical movement featuring a practical independent quick-setting function for both the day and date.

Robust and reliable, it offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.

The Oyster case, fitted with a screw-down Twinlock winding crown, guarantees water resistance to 100 metres.
