The 41 mm Oyster case is crafted from Oystersteel, with the bezel, winding crown and bracelet details in 18 ct yellow gold. The Oysterlock safety clasp and Rolex Glidelock extension system allow the bracelet length to be precisely adjusted without the use of tools.

The unidirectional rotatable bezel features a blue Cerachrom insert with a 60-minute graduation, highly resistant to scratches and originally designed to allow divers to accurately monitor their dive times.

The blue dial features large geometric hour markers and hands with Chromalight luminescence, designed to ensure excellent legibility even in low-light conditions and during dives. The date display at 3 o’clock is magnified by the characteristic Cyclops lens on the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, making it easier to read.

The screw-down Triplock winding crown and screw-down case back contribute to ensuring water resistance to 300 metres (1,000 feet), in keeping with the professional diving heritage of the Submariner collection. Inside is the Rolex calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex.

The movement features central hours, minutes and seconds, with stop-seconds for precise time setting, as well as a date display with rapid correction. Calibre 3235 is equipped with the Chronergy escapement and blue Parachrom hairspring, designed to provide efficiency, reliability and resistance in everyday use.

The power reserve is approximately 70 hours.
